The Strategy of Sustainable Mobility for the Municipality of Águeda is aimed at the “optimization of the transport system and the efficiency in the use of resources, in line with the principles of operation of a transportation system that is integrated, accessible, safe, inclusive and friendly to the environment”.
This strategy includes the passengers (residents, visitors and tourists) and the transport of goods, by adopting an integrated perspective through the analysis of the interactions between regional and urban mobility and transportation, security, land use, environment, health, economy (including tourism economics) and social inclusion, constituting a broad base inclusive of the various public policies of urban and regional development.
