The WiMAX infrastructure of the Municipality of Águeda has emerged as a response to the difficulties experienced by the municipality with internet access in certain areas.

The goal of the municipality with this system is not only to counter info-exclusion and bring citizens closer to online services, but also to be an asset for both dynamism and management of public spaces.
